This workshop focused on the principles of Misoon Ghim Voice Studio where a unique approach during the lessons. The unique approach replies on principles
An analytical view on individual students during the singing. Musical action in time and space will be taught. (Ear training and sight singing) The recognizing any tension in the physical body neck, shoulder, tongue, jaw, facial muscles will be taught (Alexander Technique) Vocalises will be taught. The principle lies on the ritual exercises of the vocalises and breathing techniques that strengthen the ability of the vocal flexibility, and the vocal agility.
Voice lesson is a platform to guide each student to the direction towards the self awareness, self analysis, self assessment, and self correction. The principle includes the relationship between the teacher and the student that is created based on the respect, and appreciation to each other and to others which I have learned from reading the Korean traditional singing oral tradition of singing.
